E-Sports benefits thousands of children worldwide every weekend.
However, we wouldn’t have nearly as much impact as a program without the service, sacrifice, and leadership of our volunteer coaches. These special individuals embody the heart of E-Sports by facilitating, leading, and exemplifying inclusion every time they step onto the field, court, studio, or dojo.
About Ethan
Ethan Yang is a 21 year old seasoned participant and volunteer at E-Sports. His primary role at E-Sports is a volunteer assistant coach at E-Fitness in Sunnyvale. Ethan has experience working with and coaching kids of ages from 3 to 18 years old. Ethan is currently one of our most reliable and fun E-Fitness coaches. Ethan also has the unique experience of participating in E-Sports since his parents brought him out at the age of 6 years old.
When asked what his favorite part of volunteering at E-Fitness, Ethan said, “Helping the kids feel included. Both the special needs kids and the typical kids. I really enjoy helping them by jumping in myself and helping them get through any potential social anxiety so that we can all have fun together! I really enjoy doing things together with them!”
We also asked Ethan what he has learned the most from volunteering at E-Fitness, he responded by saying, “I’ve learned from volunteering at E-Sports that more kids are open to physical activities than I originally thought. E-Sports kind of allows for more kids to feel included and I think that helps them want to participate more!”
