There’s nothing more inspiring than starting the new year by helping dream come true! We kicked off 2024 with our E-Hoops families attending the Golden State Warriors’ Special Needs Family Appreciation Night. The night started with E-Hoops families and coaches from across the Bay Area arriving early to watch the pregame “shootaround” warm-ups. Then a unique highlight of the evening was the “Primetime” scrimmage before the Warriors tip-off against the Toronto Raptors. We could feel the joy and excitement radiating from the kids as they dribbled and shot hoops on the same court where legends like Steph play! All the E-Hoops families and coaches who attended the event also got to take home a commemorative t-shirt as a memento.

One parent, moved by the experience for her child, expressed her gratitude for the E-Hoops coaches who went above and beyond. She shared how one particular coach stepped in to support her daughter, who went from being reluctant to participate to taking shots on the court, making the night even more special.

Finally, all the families who attended the event were also able to register their kids for a free E-Hoops clinic hosted by Warriors staff at Chase Center in March. We are extremely thankful for the Warriors staff’s support of inclusive sports, E-Hoops, and our ongoing collaboration.
